Project Description
The College of Education and Human Ecology at The Ohio State University is seeking an undergraduate research assistant to join the Sit Together and Read 4 (STAR4) team in the Lab at the Crane Center for Early Childhood Research and Policy. Research assistants will primarily code audio recordings as part of an NIH-funded study of a parent-child reading intervention with preschoolers. It is an in-person position.
Will be responsible for completing training and achieving reliability on the fidelity coding checklist. Primary responsibility is the audio coding of parent-child book readings.

Excellent listening skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Detail oriented. Dependable and flexible to changes. Experience working with children ages 4-8. Experience working within a team. R
Experience Desired:
Some familiarity with general research processes and data security recommended but not required. Familiarity with early childhood education, reading, and/or language development would be beneficial. Prior research experience.
