The Three Minute Thesis, developed at the University of Queensland, challenges participants to present their - research in just three minutes using everyday language - to an audience.
The 2025 Ohio State Undergraduate 3-Minute Thesis Competition will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 4:00-6:00pm in the Ohio Union Round Room.
Application Information
Applications for the 3-Minute Thesis Competition are now live and will be open until Sunday, March 23 at 11:59pm.
Students should be prepared to submit the following materials:
Section I: Student Presenter's Contact Information
Section II: Research Mentor’s Contact Information
Section III: Funding Support
Section IV: Research/Creative Project Title and Abstract
Students will be required to upload a 1-minute video briefly explaining their project. For the competition, you get to display 1 single, static slide, and explain your research in a maximum of 3 minutes. For this 1-minute summary, you can choose to include any images or slides in this video. We recommend creating a video to your CarmenZoom account in the cloud. You can then share the link to your video below.
