Project Description
Students will work closely with a post-doctoral scientist, where they will be mentored on a wide range of lab techniques and procedures. Students may have the opportunity to work independently on a research project with support from their mentor. Students will also have general lab maintenance responsibilities, such as stocking and cleaning. Students will learn cell culture, aseptic technique, PCR, immunofluorescence staining, and other advanced techniques that may be relevant to their mentor's project. Students will be responsible for culturing iPSCs, which includes daily media changes (including weekends).
