Project Description
The Students in Life Sciences Abroad (STILSA) program is seeking one or more Global Connections for Experiential Learning in STEM Interns for the 2026–2027 academic year. Working with Dr. Patrice Hamel and Joi Brihm-Spann in Arts and Sciences Career Success, interns will help support and expand global experiential learning opportunities for Ohio State students by:
• Assisting with program operations, student communications, and outreach
• Maintaining the STILSA website and promotional materials
• Researching and developing partnerships with universities, industry, and nonprofit organizations abroad
• Contributing to initiatives that connect international experiences with career readiness in STEM
This position is ideal for students interested in global education, international collaboration, STEM workforce development, and program innovation.

Required or Desired Skills
Qualifications: Undergraduate or Master level students (currently enrolled or graduated, within 2 years of graduation) at Ohio State (all majors considered; STEM, Education, and related fields preferred). Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. French proficiency is highly desirable for interaction with French-speaking partners but not absolutely required.
