Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry is gearing up for two important events to showcase the work of undergraduate student researchers - the Spring Undergraduate Research Festival and the 3-Minute Thesis Competition.
Applications for both the Spring Undergraduate Research Festival and 3-Minute Thesis Competition are available and will close on Sunday March 23, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

The Spring Undergraduate Research Festival is a poster-style presentation opportunity for students to share their mentored undergraduate research. Students present their mentored research projects with the aid of a poster. The festival is open to all undergraduate students at Ohio State who are participating in faculty-mentored research, and students can present on projects that are still ongoing - final results are not necessary for participation.
Students will present at the Spring Undergraduate Research Festival on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in the Ohio Union Performance Hall. It's open to students from all disciplines across campus.
If students are interested in a different presentation style, the 3-Minute Thesis Competition is another opportunity to highlight their work.
Originally developed at the University of Queensland, the undergraduate competition has been on hiatus for a year at Ohio State and is returning for students to present their research in just three minutes using a single slide and everyday language to an audience.
The competition is also open to all Ohio State undergraduate students and will also be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in the Ohio Union Round Room from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
