The Richard J. and Martha D. Denman Undergraduate Research Forum is Ohio State’s premier showcase of undergraduate research excellence. Since 1995, the Denmans have supported this event, celebrating the innovation and dedication of student researchers and their faculty mentors.
The Denman Forum is the only competitive poster forum hosted by Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry (UR&CI). Graduating student researchers present their work to the university community and are evaluated by faculty, staff, and Denman alumni reviewers. Judging focuses on the clarity and impact of both the written poster and oral presentation.
The 31st annual Richard J. and Martha D. Denman Undergraduate Research Forum will take place on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Applications open on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 5:00 a.m. and will close on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Students from all disciplines are encouraged to apply and share their research with the Ohio State community.
Winners in each category are honored at an awards reception and receive:
- Certificate of Scholarship
- Placement medallion and ribbon
- Cash prize
You can apply on the Undergraduate Research website before applications close on February 1, 2026.
