R99777- Assessor Job Description:
The Research Assistant (RA) plays a key role in engaging and tracking youth experiencing homelessness (YEH) involved in research projects via email, phone, home visits, text and social media, and maintains a contact database for the purpose of implementing follow-up assessments. The RA supports research activities and data collection through the administration of research project assessments, tests, and/or questionnaires.
A significant duty of this role is to find the YEH in the research project. This will involve travel, as well visiting friends and family members who know the youth to help locate them. The RA will complete surveys of youth in a variety of locations including in the STAR House drop-in center, the youth’s home, the library, etc. This position requires the successful completion of a background check including BCI/I and FBI fingerprinting background checks. Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and insurance required.
