Project Description
The objective of this volunteer undergraduate service is to assist in the general running of the lab and to assist the lab researchers in experiments and data analysis. Tasks involved include general lab chores (e.g. prepping solutions, autoclaving, health/safety checks), running PCR assays (i.e. mycoplasma detection and mouse genotyping), and data/video analysis. Opportunities to shadow/assist in other experiments may be available. Students are also invited to join lab journal club/meetings. Students will complete initial lab health & safety training, and will be trained in all techniques until they can be proficiently independent.
