Project Description
Our lab is dedicated to research in arrhythmia and cardiac regeneration, with the goal unraveling the molecular mechanisms that maintain cardiac balance and using this understanding to innovate therapies for cardiovascular diseases. Currently, our focus is on exploring the novel roles of non-coding RNAs, particularly microRNA and lncRNA, in the context of cardiac arrhythmia and myocardial injury.
Students will learn specific research techniques and participate in ongoing research projects. Our training emphasizes developing student independence and working together with a mentor to develop a project that aligns the student’s specific interests.
Additional Information
Students who fit the lab research will be trained with three stages.
1) Voluntary experience stage: approximately 6-9months. Learning basic wet-lab skills
2) Academic Credit stage: 4-7 months. Develop a project that meets the student’s research interests.
3) Salary stage: students who can significantly contribute to specific research projects will be hired as part-time research assistant.
