Project Description
This study investigates the effects of maternal depression and parenting behavior on young children's development of autobiographical memory as well as behavioral, cognitive, and physiological regulation of emotion. This is a longitudinal study with observations of children and mother-child interaction in the lab. Students will be involved in one of several tasks:
1. Reviewing and assigning codes to video-recorded child/mother emotion and behavior
2. Coding interviews with mothers or mother-child conversations
3. Screening and processing electrocardiogram (ECG) data
