"I first met Dr. Sabiiti during my sophomore year here at OSU. Dr. Sabiiti was here for his Fulbright visiting scholar experience and my professor in the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science, Dr. David Barker, set up a meeting for me with him. Right then and there during that first two hour meeting, Dr. Sabiiti invited me to come to Uganda with him to do an internship or research. Fast forward a year, and I got back in contact with Dr. Sabiiti! Through many emails back and forth, Dr. Barker and Dr. Sabiiti helped me come up with a research project that I could conduct in Uganda under Dr. Sabiiti. When I arrived in Uganda, I met another professor, Dr. Constantine Katongole, who also became one of my Ugandan mentors. Constantine went with me to all of my interviews, translated when necessary, and explained many things to me about dairy in Uganda.
My research would not have been possible without Dr. Sabiiti, Dr. Barker, and Dr. Katongole. I cannot thank them enough!"-Taylor Klass, Animal Science
